Over the last few years, I’ve created half a dozen blogs, each ultimately left to drift off silently into the dark nothingness of internet oblivion. Those who know me know that it’s not so much that I never have anything to say, but have never felt very comfortable standing on a pulpit preaching. Until recently, I never really connected with any blogs or bloggers. I recognized the power of the trend, what it represents, blah, blah, blah, but it just didn’t click for me….

…until I found this (warning, often profane….). I had stumbled onto Warren Ellis’ ”Die Puny Humans” (as his blog was called then) via this Gizmodo interview. Warren was doing something different than I’d ever seen- he was bloging for himself – literally. His blog was primarily his way of saving found links, bits of code, photos and other items that registered with his (twisted and brilliant) view of the world.

So, inspired by a brilliant British writer of comic books, I’ve decided to give this an honest try this time, for selfish reasons more than anything else. Like Warren, I go through phases of rapid and random detritis collection. I have what Budhists call a ‘monkey mind’…. sometimes flitting from thought to idea to obsession faster than I can keep track using my current tools. These are (hopefuly) followed by long sessions of pacing and short bursts of lucidity in which I have to spit out what I’m thinking before it slips away from me.

So this will be my dumping ground. You can fully expect it to be populated by random links, completely out of context, occasionally accompanied by cryptic phrases and short rants. Beyond that you may occasionally stumble across a more complete thought or two, but no promises.
